Fair Housing

All housing advertised on Veteran Property Network is subject to the Fair Housing Act. Every listing here is open to every lawful renter or buyer — full stop.

Equal housing opportunity

Veteran Property Network supports and complies with the federal Fair Housing Act. We do not permit, and will remove, listings or content that discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local law. State and local laws often protect additional classes — including, in many places, military status and source of income — and listings on this site must comply with those too.

What we do about it

  • Listings are reviewed before they publish. Our team checks each submission for accuracy and Fair Housing compliance, and we decline or remove listings that don't meet it.
  • We never screen or steer based on a protected class. Search, filters, and matching on this site work on location, price, home features, and timing — nothing else.
  • Military features describe logistics, not eligibility. Base proximity, PCS tools, and BAH calculators explain location and budgets for the military community — but every listing is open to every lawful renter or buyer, and you don't need any military connection to rent, buy, or assume a loan here.

If you list a property here

Hosts and sellers are responsible for advertising and choosing tenants or buyers lawfully. Describe the property, not the person you imagine living there — "two bedrooms near the north gate" is fine; preferences about family status, religion, national origin, or any protected class are not, and we'll remove them.

Disability and reasonable accommodations

The Fair Housing Act's disability protections include the right to request reasonable accommodations in rules and services, and reasonable modifications to a home, so a person with a disability can use and enjoy it. Raise a request directly with the host or seller — and if you'd like help making it, or a host on this site refuses to consider one, email support@veteranpropertynetwork.com.

Report a concern

If you believe a listing or anyone using this site has treated you unfairly under fair-housing laws, email support@veteranpropertynetwork.com — we review every report and act on violations. You can also contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity directly at hud.gov/fairhousing to learn about your rights or file a complaint.
